Ah June; skirts and sandals weather, lazy Pimm's picnics in the park, and barbecues that last all weekend long, And bookish outings, of course!
4 June – Adele Parks is hosting a glam launch party in London to celebrate If You Go Away! Tickets to the riverside event are £15 and include an interview with the author, a hardback copy of the book, drinks and canapés.
4 June – Have a cupcake (or two) with author Carole Matthews to celebrate her latest novel, The Cake Shop in the Garden, at Northwich Litfest 2015. Tickets are £8.
5 June – Women's fiction favourites Lucy Diamond and Veronica Henry are joining forces for readings and bookish fun at Walter Henry's Books in North Devon. It is free to attend but booking is essential.
9 June – You've finally finished your novel, but now comes the task of making the world read your work. No idea how to promote your book after you've written 'the end'? The Guardian is hosting a masterclass tackling this issue and you can join them in London for £99.
10 June – June's authors for Speakeasy at London's Drink, Shop, Do are Viv Groskop, M.R Carey and Tyler Keevil. It's free to attend but booking is recommended for good seats.
10 June – Literary imprint Tinder Press has some brilliant authors signed to their list and together with Foyles in London they're hosting a panel with Sarah Winman, Maggie O'Farrell and Sarah Leipciger to explore the road to publication and what lies beyond. Tickets are free and also include pizza and a drink!11 June – Join Antonia Honeywell at Urmston Bookshop in Manchester for a discussion about her exciting debut novel The Ship. Tickets are £3 and redeemable against the price of the book.
15 June – Milly Johnson is holding a book bash to celebrate the release of Afternoon Tea at The Sunflower Cafe at Mapplewell Village Hall. Tickets are £10 to join the festivities, which includes a talk, raffle, buffet and goody bags!
16 June – The National Academy of Writing is hosting a two-hour long masterclass into crafting a complete, thoroughly-edited manuscript. The event is taking place in London and tickets are £35.
19 June – Rowan Coleman (The Memory Book) will make an appearance at Norwich Litfest to talk about her road to publication and perhaps a sneak peek of her latest novel; We Are All Made of Stars! Tickets are £5.
19-21 June – Are you not just a voracious reader but an aspiring author too? The Winchester Writers’ Festival might be just the place for you to learn some tricks of the trade and pick up tips from already published writers such as Sebastian Faulks and Sarah Mussi.
25 June – Join Patrick Gale (A Place Called Winter) in conversation with Sarah Winman (A Year of Marvellous Ways) at Dulwich Books for £6, which includes a glass of wine and is redeemable against either of the authors' latest novels.
25 June – Helen Macdonald (author of Costa Book of the Year winner H is for Hawk) will be joining Foyles' web editor Jonathan Ruppin at the book shop's Charing Cross Road branch for a discussion around natural writing. Tickets are £8.
30 June – Cathy Rentzenbrink (The Last Act of Love) will be in conversation with Granta editor Max Porter at Dulwich Books where they will explore grief, love, loss and family, and how we deal with the pain caused. Tickets are £4 for entry only or £10 with a copy of the book.
