My Bedside Table by Kate Beeden of Books with Bunny

Aspiring novelist and self-confessed Twitterholic, Kate Beeden runs her popular book blog, Books with Bunny, from her home in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. Today, Kate has welcomed us into her bedroom for a peek at the current reads on her bedside table.

Kate's Bedside Table
We recently bought a new king-sized bed and I was so excited at the thought of being able to spread out at night. I love my sleep! This new bed has winged sideboards attached to it, which was an added bonus.  Ah, book storage, I thought as I gaily clicked the button to seal the purchase.  And then it arrived. The bed might have been big, but the sideboard was tiny.

Although I have had to prioritise the amount of 'stuff' on my bedside table because of the miniscule space available, I always have at least one book, a Jo Malone candle, one (or more) pairs of glasses and, more often than not, one of my vast collection of hairclips from Sheffield milliner Imogen's Imagination.

Kate from Books with BunnyI'm currently working my way through two books. Firstly, I've been reading Beautiful Stranger by Christina Lauren. Last month I read Beautiful Bastard by the same author and now I'm hooked – these are possibly my favourite erotic reads of the year. I've also just started The Boy in the Tower by Polly Ho-Yen, a dystopian children's book described as a 'captivating fable about fear and hope, loneliness and friendship' on Amazon. I'd struggle to fit any more books on my bedside table, but I seem to have an ever-growing book mountain appearing alongside it.

Love Letters to the Dead by Ava Dellaira, Winter Games by Rachel Johnson and Jenny Colgan's Christmas at the Cupcake Café are strewn on the floor and my signed David Beckham book (thank you wonderful best friend – amazing Christmas present!) is balancing on top of the mountain like an intrepid explorer at the top of Everest.

Thanks, Kate!
