Fiction Uncovered, the annual promotion to help develop wider audiences for emerging and deserving British writers, has successfully secured National Lottery funding for the next two years. The grant has been awarded to The Literary Platform, which will oversee the project.
Each year, eight books are chosen by a judging panel to be part of this initiative, with the selection announced in June 2014. Submissions for 2014 are now now open to publishers and, for the first time, self-published writers too.
The recent injection of funding will enable Fiction Uncovered to continue its work, which includes author events, and its pop-up radio station, Fiction Uncovered FM, hosted by Foyles in 2012 and 2013.
