The Association of American Publishers, in partnership with Penguin, Random House and Twitter, has announced the second #TwitterFiction Festival, which will take place March 12-16th 2014.
A digital storytelling extravaganza, the festival is about embracing, exploring, and developing the art of storytelling on Twitter. It will give authors the opportunity to bring their stories to life in real time, while allowing readers to experience fiction in a brand new way.
More than just tweeting fiction line-by-line though, authors will be encouraged to great creative with parody accounts, crowdsourcing collaborative storylines, video and images.
Participating authors include award-winners and #1 New York Times bestselling writers from a wide variety of genres. Throughout the festival they’ll be tweeting fiction on Twitter. And you could join their ranks! Entries for #TwitterFiction will be accepted online here until February 5th.
A festival for fiction on Twitter? We’re so there.
