Told mainly from the perspective of wife and mother Josie, ‘Over You’ examines themes of infidelity in a very real and poignant way. Lucy Diamond executes the feelings that come with betrayal so very well that I got choked up more than once. I ended up caring very much for Josie and wanted her to find her happy ending. A particularly impressive aspect of this book is the dialogue which is so genuine and some of the most realistic I have read. This helps the reader to get involved with the characters as real people, and invest emotionally in their journeys. This book was compelling, hearty, and very different to what I expected (in a good way!). It was clever and truthful and I would highly recommend as something to really sink your teeth into.
