The Novelicious Pinterest Prompt: July 2014

Yo, writers! It’s Pinterest Prompt time, which sees us choosing an image we like from Pinterest that you guys then use as flash fiction inspiration. You can post roughly 200 – 400 words based on the image in the comments below throughout the month. Our favourite will appear in the Novelicious Newsletter, which goes out to thousands of book loving folks including editors, literary agents and other publishing professionals. A great way to get your name and writing out there!

August Walsh wrote the winning entry for May with a beautiful and hair-standing-up-on-the-back-of-your-neck piece of writing that has stayed with us throughout the month. You will receive a Five Minute Fiction slot in a forthcoming Novelicious Newsletter.

That said, we loved all of your entries. RMKealey especially struck a chord with her timely piece about teenagers parting ways to start adulthood. Sniff.

We hope you’ll jump in and enjoy July’s Pinterest Prompt. It’s all about writers encouraging writers and, simply, it’s just nice to have a place to practice our fiction skills with fellow friendly aspiring novelists.
