Good morning, book nerds.
It's been about five and a half months since we launched our Novelicious Books imprint, and we're well excited to say that the very first Novelicious Book is out today!
Our mission when we started the imprint was to only sign books we were absolutely head over heels for. Books we would give a rare (we're a fussy bunch) Novelicious 10/10 to. Books we wanted to pester our friends with (‘Read this! Read this one. Read it now!’). A tall order, perhaps. But then our inbox pinged with Poppy Dolan's There's More to Life Than Cupcakes and it was love at first page. As we read on, this developed into full on fan-girl tendencies. A book that is as clever and thoughtful as it is funny? With such gorgeously written characters? And genius observational comedy? And cake? And a cameo from Paul Hollywood?
We had to have it.
So, before we melt into a puddle of excitement, let us say that we couldn't be prouder to publish this book and we hope you'll join us in our giddy celebrations. We've got some cracking giveaways coming up on Novelicious.com today and will be having lots of fun over on Twitter at hashtag #poppydolancupcakes.
