You see the old man every morning on your walk to work. He descends the same steps from the same apartment building wearing the same disheveled coat and hat. He walks two blocks and stands in the same bus stop line every day, only to spin around and return to his apartment when the bus finally arrives. He never boards.
Except, one day, he does. Overcome with curiosity, you find yourself boarding too. You buy an all-day pass and take the seat behind him, intent on learning more about this familiar stranger.
