7. The Fullerton Book Club
The Fullerton Book Club is a book club serving readers of all ages, race and gender within the community of Fullerton, Orange County. The book club reads both fiction and non-fiction books of various genres. Rather than take a technical approach to these books, The Fullerton Book Club prefers to keep discussions on the general story and how it connects to each member personally.

The book club holds in person book club meetings once a month where book club members can enjoy discussion, have time for personal thinking, and share in the company of others who are also interested in understanding more about sobriety.
Sober Book Club explores different books, such as “House in the Cerulean Sea” by T.J. Klune and “Sober Curious” by Ruby Warrington. Boba, Coffee, and Books is a book club that caters to readers of all genders, ages and backgrounds who live or work in the area of Irvine, Orange County. The group of over 700 book club members is managed by the committed leadership team of Chris, Tony, Cassie, Elisabeth and Sean, who have been part of Boba, Coffee, and Books since 2021.
Unlike other book clubs that might define a shared book over the course of a week or month, Boba, Coffee, and Books encourages book club members to choose their own reading material and bring it to their book club meetings, which are usually held weekly on Thursday evenings at Cha For Tea in Woodbridge. Instead of having an open discussion, Boba, Coffee, and Books provides a time for members to enjoy silent book reading, in the company of other likeminded individuals.

10. O.C. Gay Men’s Book Club
O.C. Gay Men’s Book Club is a supportive book club for gay men in the Orange County area of California. Today, the book club has grown to over 450 book club members, making it a great opportunity for gay men in Orange County to connect with other gay men who share a love of books.
For a better idea of the books that you can expect to read at O.C. Gay Men’s Book Club, look at “The Velvet Rage’ by Alan Downs and “On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous” by Ocean Vuong.
