Ms Frost, as the title suggests, is rather frosty. And Aidan Flynn makes it his mission to melt her.
They meet at work. Annabel Frost is the general manager of a prestigious restaurant called Cafe Cluny. She runs her ship very tightly. She doesn't suffer fools, has high expectations of her staff and expects the restaurant to look, well, just perfect. The staff mutter about her, but for all their muttering, this strong, independent, immaculate woman is good at her job. Behind this icy exterior, however, Annabel has little family – just her mum, and no friends.
After taking a rare few days off she comes back and finds a new barman has been installed.
Normally she does the hiring and firing, giving her chance to vet each member of staff. But she knows nothing about Aidan Flynn, this Irish, slightly cocky, very charming, new barman. And Aidan, meeting her for the first time, is intrigued by her. Actually, intrigued is rather an understatement. Aidan is adamant that there is more to Annabel than her icy exterior suggests. And he makes it his mission to find out more about her. Annabel, however, is having none of it. Their sparring, their sexual tension, becomes more and more heated, making for a fascinating exchange.
Aidan believes the way to melt her down is through 'relations' and through finding out more about her, but Ms Frost gives little away.
However, take her to Vienna, to the home of the Sacher-Torte, and Ms Frost will melt before your eyes. Forget the sex, Mr Flynn, chocolate cake is the answer.
She eats the chocolate cake, which is, in her view, the best chocolate cake in the world, with 'barely concealed rapture that had left Aidan shifting in his chair'.
So, gentlemen, if you want to 'woo' a woman, especially a woman with a sweet tooth, you have two options. Number One: Take her to Vienna to Hotel Sacher. Or, Number Two: Make her a Sacher-Torte. Mary Berry has the perfect recipe.
