The venue for the launch was The Society Club in Soho – a fantastic little spot tucked away on Ingestre Place. With a gorgeously bohemian atmosphere, rare first editions on the shelves and photography on the walls, it was perfect. On arrival I was greeted by the world’s smallest dog racing towards me over the floorboards. Plates of ‘Caramel’ biscuits were laid out and the menu included Cocktails and some lovely Prosecco.
Pippa was resplendent in a brand new leopard-print dress surrounded by friends and well-wishes. Her Editor, Caroline Hogg at Pan Macmillan (our own Ask the Editor!), made a lovely speech about the book and Pippa herself. There were signings and smiles and then Pippa left to have dinner with her Dad for his birthday.
The whole evening was wonderfully relaxed, full of laughter and lots of respect for a very funny writer of women’s fiction. Thank you very much to Pan Macmillan for inviting Novelicious to the launch and good luck to you all for The Foster Husband.
