3. Laupahoehoe Public and School Library
Not long after this library officially opened in 1973, it was decimated by an earthquake. The community gathered together and the library was rebuilt and reopened a year later, in 1974. It is one of the few libraries that offers a public use meeting room on Hawaii Island.
There’s a great catalog of books here, and you can search through grade 1-3, 4-6, and teen categories.
