To celebrate the release of Rosie Blake’s laugh out loud funny How to Get a (Love) Life, we’re giving away exciting and romantic prizes every day until Friday 14th February. From adventurous date ideas to gorgeous gifts, we want to celebrate YOUR love life by making this the best Valentine’s Day yet.
How to Get a (Love) Life Day Six: Pilot a plane together with IntotheBlue!
In How to Get a (Love) Life, usually uptight and reserved Nicola Brown goes on a kayaking date with Steven in an attempt to embrace her adventurous side. Of course, the kayaking takes place on the sea. In November.Despite the chill, Nicola was on the right track. Science claims the endorphins generated by adventurous activities can make you feel mega attracted to your companion.
It doesn’t get much more adventurous than piloting your very own plane together, if you ask us.
Today’s prize takes place at London’s historic Panshanger Aerodrome. You session starts with a safety briefing and an introduction to the basics of flying a plane. Then, it’s time to board your very own aircraft and take to the skies with a flight instructor. Once you’re safely soaring, you (and your date) take turns in piloting the plane while the other enjoys the stunning views of London’s landscape from the cockpit.
We imagine it looking a little something like this loved up Faith Hill video with Josh Hartnett and Kate Beckinsale. Adrenaline pumping, sure, but tres romantic.
Once you’re back on the ground, you’ll be treated to a delicious afternoon tea or lunch at the hanger cafe, plus a glass of bubbly for that extra bit of sparkle.
Something tells us you'll be talking about this date for a long time.
