The Greater Seattle Bureau of Fearless Ideas was started by Teri Hein in 2004; the organization initially was called Pencilhead. Teri subsequently stepped down as head of the organization in 2016. Fearless Ideas is a corpus made up of adults, youth, staff, volunteers, and local folk from Seattle who believe in the strength of written and spoken words in creating opportunities for young people.
